Draft Booster Motors
Draft booster motors, also known as draft inducer motors, power the draft inducer fan inside a gas furnace. The draft inducer turns on at the start of the furnace's heating cycle, shortly before the furnace ignites its burners. This allows the draft inducer to clear out any lingering combustion gases from the previous heating cycle to prevent those gases from exploding and creating a safety hazard. Once the furnace's burners ignite, the draft inducer provides the burners with a constant source of oxygen so they can burn as efficiently as possible. This maximizes the amount of heat that is produced by the burners and distributes that heat evenly across the walls of the furnace's heat exchanger to ensure the air coming out of the furnace has as much heat as possible. The draft inducer also evacuates burned gases, such as carbon monoxide, out the flue to the outside of the building. Use these HVAC motors to replace damaged or worn-out draft booster motors in furnaces to keep them running.Close
